Poll-eve has always been a risky phase for innocent
common people. Shrewd politicians try their evil tricks to come

NEW DELHI, April 19: The Assam Congress party tonight managed to finalise its list of candidates for
the Assembly polls barring a few seats. The list is now likely to be released tomorrow. The Congress

almost all of the tainted party men including at least six sitting MLAs. The notable among those have
been denied tickets included, Rashidul Haque and Shahidul Islam. The delay in finalising the list was
mainly because of a last hour decision of the AICC High Command to review the list of candidates. [AT]
